Paying for your aluminum fence or railing

All orders must be prepaid. Aluminum Fence Specialists LLC accepts Visa, MasterCard and Discover. Orders paid for by certified check will carry longer lead times. No personal checks accepted. Privacy policy

Shipping your fence or railing

All orders placed with Aluminum Fence Specialists are generally shipped by truck freight (common carriers) directly to your home or project site. Freight fees are based on the state to which an order is being shipped.

Aluminum Fence Specialists will wave freight fees on any orders exceeding $3,500 in fence materials to Eastern states. Fees will be waived on orders to Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, Florida and Maine that exceed $5,000 in fence materials and on all Western state orders that exceed $7,000 in fence materials.

Deliveries to Alaska, Hawaii or Canada require special freight quotes. Standard freight fees also do not apply to aluminum estate gates, which require shipment by private truck.

All residential deliveries will be charged a $55 fee, which cannot be waived.

Small items will be shipped by FedEx and will carry small shipping charges, which are not considered freight charges. These charges are based on weight of the packaged item and are determined at the time of shipping. The residential fee does not apply to orders shipped in this manner.

Delivery of your fence or railing

Once your order ships, Aluminum Fence Specialists will notify you by email with tracking information. The trucking company will contact you to schedule delivery. Deliveries will be made on weekdays only.

Trucking companies require their drivers to move items only to the back of the truck to be unloaded by the customer. This is an industry practice beyond Aluminum Fence Specialists’ control. Many drivers are helpful and will assist you, but they are not required to do so. It is important to have additional hands available to help unload.

Typically, orders ship in multiple boxes on pallets wrapped in protective plastic sheeting. To simplify unloading, the individual boxes may be removed from the pallets.

Shipping Errors

Any errors or material shortages need to be reported within 24 hours of your delivery. If Ultra Aluminum Mfg. is responsible for the error, you will not be charged additional delivery fees. Ultra will not overnight any missed material; it will be shipped by Fed-Ex ground only.

If you, the customer, have made an error in placing your order, you will be responsible for the cost of any additional products and appropriate delivery charges. All additional charges will be quoted to you prior to shipment and will be processed as a new order.

Damage to your fence or railing

Understand that damage might occur during shipping. All damages are the sole responsibility of the trucking company, not Ultra or Aluminum Fence Specialists LLC.

Someone must be present at delivery time to inspect the packages and sign for them. Please arrange for it to be you or someone who can act for you. Do not sign the bill of lading without noting any damages and have the delivery driver sign it as well.

It is best to inspect the contents of each package but, at a minimum, sign the bill of lading as “No visible damage; have not checked for concealed damage.” This will ensure that you can then place a claim with the trucking company. If you sign a clean bill of lading, you cannot receive reimbursement from the trucking company and must purchase replacement parts.

If you find any damage, call the terminal number listed on the bill of lading immediately. Keep any damaged materials for inspection by the trucking company because it may not honor claims without proof of damage.


Changes can be made to your order prior to production, which is usually within 24 hours after placement. Changes may not be made once production has begun.

Some orders may be canceled prior to production (within 24 hours of order placement). However, during certain times of the year, some items (such as gates) go into production immediately.

Because every order is customized, only certain items can be canceled. For more details regarding cancellations, please contact a fence specialist at 1-888-867-7995.

Any cancellations after the order has been shipped will be considered a return as described in the next section.


Because your order is built to your specific needs, neither Ultra Aluminum Mfg., Inc., nor Aluminum Fence Specialists LLC can accept returns or give refunds (except in certain preapproved conditions which are set solely by Ultra Aluminum Mfg., Inc.).

Returns are restricted to defective materials, and any return must be approved by Ultra Aluminum Mfg. Inc. If a return is approved, Ultra will provide you with a returned materials authorization (RMA) number. Any material returned without Ultra’s authorization will be refused.

If you find any defects in the material, please refer to Ultra’s limited liability warranty.

Material approved for return is subject to a 25% restocking fee, must be sent back in the original packaging and must be prepaid (at your expense). Materials must arrive in damage-free cartons. Used or damaged materials cannot be accepted.

Disputes and product warranty

By placing an order with Aluminum Fence Specialists LLC, you agree that the laws of the commonwealth of Pennsylvania shall supersede all others should an irreconcilable dispute arise. You also agree that the venue for such legal dispute will be Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Local codes and ordinances

You are responsible for ordering items that meet your local codes and ordinances. When you place an order with Aluminum Fence Specialists, products are not guaranteed to be compliant with your local code.

Code compliance is the responsibility solely of the contractor or homeowner. Aluminum Fence Specialists LLC remains harmless from any lawsuits, fines, etc., if you order and install a non-code-compliant product. No exceptions.
